The Position:

An exciting opportunity is available for a Utilities Operations Consultant to join the Computershare Team based in our Abbotsford office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for many of the key 'meter to cash' activities for our Qld and NSW based clients, and will be involved in managing the accounts and customers of our clients. Tasks will involve maintaining and updating account data as well as management of billing.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Receiving and processing data relating to customer activation, transfer, billing, payments and correspondence
  • Providing Specialist support to our clients
  • Managing billing and payments activities, including system work queues, exceptions and reporting in accordance with Service Level Agreements
  • Resolving complaints and enquiries related to billing, payments, transfers, service orders and charges
  • Actively participating in team discussions, meetings and other team forums, to impart knowledge and ideas and impact team decisions

Essential Skills/ Experience Required:

  • Commercial experience using Microsoft Office Excel
  • Outstanding listening, oral and written communication skills for gathering and providing information
  • The ability to adapt to new systems and processes
  • A high level of initiative and the ability to problem solve and think outside of the box
  • A passion for providing a fantastic customer experience

Desired Skills:

  • Proven experience in billing, transfers or payments processing in a utility or related industry
  • Working knowledge of the C&I (Commercial & Industrial) sector, including all key related regulations
  • Experience with Orion and MSATS systems
  • Network and Market reconciliation experience

Candidates who have experience in a fast-paced environment with first-hand exposure to utilities in a back office or operations handling role will be highly regarded!
