Computershare have a fantastic opportunity for a Test Manager to join us as we embark on our next exciting adventure, setting up our Global Development Department based out of Edinburgh.

Job Purpose

As a Test Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of Computershare’s testing services across a wide portfolio of applications and supporting frameworks. The role is responsible for high quality testing and development support services across the global development group.

You will lead a talented team of Test Analysts to ensure that uses of technology, tools and policy and procedures are used effectively and keep up with industry best practice and emerging technologies.

We are looking for somebody with strong leadership skills who is able to lead their team by sharing knowledge and creating a collaborative environment where people are constantly learning.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide testing services in support of prioritised business demand
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and direction to your team in order to support delivery of high-quality, effective and holistic test solutions within the development teams
  • Uplift delivery capability through a focus on innovation, quality and productivity whilst embedding a culture of continuous improvement
  • Seek new opportunities and coordinate activities with other development teams, specialists and stakeholders
  • Manage individual and team performance and progress to meeting objectives through coaching, reward and recognition
 
Skills & Experience

Essential Experience

  • Experience as a Manager/Team Leader working within a software delivery environment, ideally within an enterprise context.
  • Experience in enterprise quality management across the development lifecycle including test methodologies, manual and automation test services and environment and data management.
  • Experience of using and implementing agile methodologies.
  • Experience of technical mentoring for testers with a track record of maximising the individual potential of team members.
  • Excellent leadership skills – sets direction, builds consensus and shares a vision and values.  Motivates empowers employees. 
  • Excellent management skills – organising work and resources, planning and setting priorities, delegating effectively, timely monitoring and performance management.
  • Experience of stakeholder management – building confidence, setting expectations and meeting commitments to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with staff and stakeholders.
  • Strong work ethic and high levels of initiative with ability to deal with conflicting priorities.
  • Collaborates and communicates well, builds great working relationships, influences others, challenges effectively and responds well to challenge from others, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.
  • Curious and continuous learner – investigates, interprets and grasps new concepts.
