The Role
You will be responsible for providing technical support for our Web and Windows application software within the EMEA region. This is a dynamic environment and will also include some support for our legacy systems as well as brand new products.
Our customers are critical to our success and we need to ensure that the service we offer allows our customers to run their operations effectively. So, part of your role will be to enhance their experience through investigating and resolving faults which may also require fixes to be developed and deployed in regular software releases.
The environment we operate in is extremely varied and you will be exposed to a variety of tasks in our cross-functional team. No one day will be the same and you will have opportunities to work with solutions developed across all of our core technologies.
What will you be doing?
Working closely with other support teams you will troubleshoot and diagnose production issues which include breaks in applications, performance and data anomalies. You will work efficiently to perform fixes in a timely manner ensuring that our software guidelines and standards are met and adhered too.
You will be an approachable individual who is able to build and maintain relationships within your team and across the wider IT function, particularly our IT Development team to ensure that you and your team are a key stakeholder of the Software Development Lifecycle.
So, what do we need from you?
We are in need of someone who thrives from working in an ever changing environment, relishes a challenge and working in a busy and at times demanding role, but also someone who wants to continue to learn and develop themselves and contribute their expertise to others around them.
You will require experience in the Microsoft .NET technology stack and/or JADE, along with a working knowledge of SQL. Exposure to web technologies including XML, HTML and CSS is desirable and it goes without saying that you will be proficient in troubleshooting and debugging.
Other skills and experience we would like:
  • Ability to use own initiative as well as work effectively in a team
  • Always looking for continuous improvement in what we do
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
  • Previous Financial Services experience would be of advantage
  • Any knowledge or exposure to SSRS or SSIS would be useful
  • Working knowledge of Agile or other Software Development methodologies
