An exciting new Developer role has recently opened up within the Technical Development Team. Within this position, you will be given all the training and support you will need to understand and implement key development within the technical framework codebase of Computershare’s multiple backend proprietary systems.
What’s involved in the role?
This is a technically challenging, varied, and fast-paced role. You will be working as part of a team helping to deliver change to Computershare’s Technical Framework - enhancing and maintaining low level C code that provides a fast, efficient and consistent framework layer and proprietary IO service to empower application developers to focus on what is required to rapidly add business system value by abstracting away a lot of the how to achieve that goal.
You will be responsible for:

•         Analysis – Understanding how low-level software frameworks interact, within the backend system. Use this analysis to determine the best way to solve technical problems, and implement that solution.

•         Development – coding changes in the form of both implementation of new functionality, as well as refactoring and optimisation.

•         Support – Identifying and rectifying technical issues, some of which will be required within time-critical windows.

•         Maintenance - Proactive Low-level technical optimisation of our internal database system.

•         Worldwide Engagement - Working directly with other global regions, which may involve travel between these.
We are looking for someone who relishes technically challenging work, and thrives on the excitement of developing software within such a system. They will also be interested in building their specialist technical knowledge through making use of a vast range of technologies and protocols.
