Responsible for researching and resolving production support issues reported for CPU applications.  Designs, develop, tests and implements solutions to resolve production support issues and enhance CPU applications.  Designs and develops applications in a Microsoft development environment and will be responsible for adhering to current CPU development procedures and techniques.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Provide technical application support for internal applications and the external web site. Responsible for problem tracking, diagnosis, replication, troubleshooting and resolution of application help desk tickets.
  • Design, develop, test and implement web-based and SQL Server applications utilizing CPU standard development procedures and techniques to resolve application issues or complete project requests that support the requirements defined by users and analysts.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and business partners in defining, designing, developing and implementing technology solutions to resolve application issues and improve business functions.
  • Execute production deployments.
  • Analyze application help desk tickets and suggest and implement improvements to reduce application issues and to optimize performance.
  • Develop system documentation for all developed applications, including flowcharts.
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of development and production environments.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of projects, which includes the design and execution of acceptance test plans to ensure a successful implementation.
  • Understand the total CPU IT computing environment and daily operations and understand the impact of planned changes.
  • Participate in assigned On-Call Rotations and provide on-call support as required.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, dynamic team environment and interact at all levels.

  • Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to resolve application issues quickly and maintain effective working relationships with customers and technical teams.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience with web development utilizing ASP, VB Script, Javascript, HTML, XML, cascading stylesheets.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with developing SQL Server applications and optimization.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with SQL coding including DDL, DML, stored procedures, triggers and query turning.
  • Minimum of2 years of development work experience.
  • Experience with other Microsoft languages and technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with adhering to usability, design and development standards.
  • Demonstrated experience with all aspects of unit testing, performance testing and user acceptance testing.
  • In-depth experience with the development lifecycle and software development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with Visual Basic a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with database design a plus.
  • Loan servicing or mortgage lending experience a plus.
  • B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science preferred or equivalent work experience preferred.

Language Ability

Ability to read/interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Ability

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
