Computershare are currently recruiting for an experienced Application Architect to join our global development team. This is a great opportunity to join a brand-new function within Computershare which will see you help shape the architectural strategy.

Job Purpose

As an Application Architect, you will be responsible for solution design and architecture, delivery, providing architectural direction to teams and implementing architectural strategy.

We are ideally looking for an individual with hands-on development experience that can look at both, functional and non-functional requirements and work closely within our cross-functional teams to design new applications and up-grade legacy systems.


Candidates that are moving from a Senior Software Engineer position will be highly regarded.


Key Accountabilities

•         Help to shape new client propositions, services and products

•         Work with teams to design high-quality solutions that are innovative, stable and resilient whilst also conforming to security and architectural standards

•         Promote regular review of designs and champion transparency of decision making

•         Manage the level of technical debt to support long-term sustainable development

•         Act as a representative in dealings with global architecture group

•         Research emerging technologies/practices and propose improvements and inject new ideas into design techniques

 

Skills & Experience

 

•         Significant experience of application development within a complex enterprise context

•         Experience as an Architect or in a role that requires significant architecture interaction

•         Experience at influencing at all levels, from delivery team to Senior Management

•         Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to collect and analyse complex material and data and present this in accessible formats

•         Excellent communication skills with a strong work ethic

•         Ability to give advice, mentor and pass on knowledge
