The role: 

An operational focused role, within the Oceania Infrastructure Support Team – Foundation Services, reporting to the Foundation Services Team Lead. The role primarily provides BAU operational support to the production environment, with a very specific focus on remediating risk, audit and compliance findings.

The candidate will work closely with the Project and Compliance Team assisting them with remediation actions pertaining to Infrastructure services (i.e. network and server).

Additionally, the role involves interacting with internal customers for day-to-day issues and requests, including resolving service requests and support incidents, expanding on existing solutions or services.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to:) 

  • Deep understanding of Data Network infrastructure technologies.
  • Provide technical assistance and knowledge to guide Routing, Switching, Security, Load Balancing, Wireless and Cabling and general Data and Telecommunications activities across LAN, WAN, Wireless and DMZ with multiple vendors and clients.
  • Provide analysis to determine the steps necessary to address vulnerability scanning and penetration testing findings from Information Security Teams.
  • Present and implement solutions to items identified as part of findings.
  • Perform requirement elicitation and technical/process documentation and reports.
  • Document current processes and evidence of compliance.
  • Represent infrastructure support and assist the IT compliance team with internal and external audit engagements.
  • Management of day to day tickets related to Infrastructure issues (network, server)
  • Ensure ongoing support of environments through documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Influencing other members of the Infrastructure Support Team to achieve innovative, efficient and effective delivery of Network and Server services to our internal and external customers.

Key skills & experience required:
  • Understanding of Audit, Risk and Compliance assessments
  • Experience in remediation of issues identified
  • Understanding of privileged access management and identity management
  • Ability to do Current State Analysis
  • Stakeholder Management 

The ideal candidate would have good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in large organizations supporting 1000 users, experience managing multiple requests in an internal fast paced IT environment, ability to communicate/ manage stakeholders and the business essential. 

You'll have a strong grounding in support of business-critical production systems. 

We’ll also look to you to bring:

  • Experience and Proven Exposure in the following key areas is a MUST
  • Citrix NetScaler, f5 APM, CISCO, MERU or similar products
  • Crafting, Building, Securing and Supporting Enterprise LAN and WAN solutions
  • Advanced network monitoring and troubleshooting techniques
  • Relevant certifications, such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE is desirable
  • Working with ITIL aligned processes (Incident, Problem, Change and Release)
  • Working in a large, complex technical environment which supports 70 or more internal network devices
  • Some exposure to Server Technologies is beneficial
