Job Summary
The Senior Mortgage Closer will prepare loans for closing, prepare closing documents and disclosures, coordinate closings, balance with settlement agents and fund loans.
Position Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Readiness Review of file for closing and reconcile data input to file documentation
  • Issue Initial CD
  • Issue Closing Package
  • Coordinate the clearing of all prior to funding conditions
  • Balance final CD and request funding wire
  • Communicate and coordinate all interested parties as needed to insure a positive consumer experience
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management

Skills
Preferred:
  • Ability to balance the CD to Settlement Agent and calculate funding request
  • Experience in the TRID environment, from CD to funding
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate accurate on time closings
  • Experience closing Conv, FHA, VA and USDA files
Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience
Required:
  • 3 years of recent closing experience
Preferred:
  • 5 years of overall experience
Travel Ability
 
It is expected that this position may include travel up to 10% of the time. This is subject to change based on many factors, including business needs.
 
Language Ability
 
Ability to read/analyze/interpret journals/financial reports/legal documents; respond to inquiries/complaints from customers/reg. agencies/ community; write speeches/articles for publication; present info to top mgmt/public groups/ boards of directors.
 
Mathematical Ability
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations; and apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test
