Process Automation

Computershare has always focused high levels of investment into the automation of our business operations. A new generation robotic process automation (RPA) technology now exists that will enable us to explore and drive efficiencies across the enterprise. Build and manage stakeholder relationships and effectively obtain information from stakeholders to form requirements. Liaise with stakeholders who are off site using tools such as teleconferencing and email, and accurately capture the information provided in a format stakeholders can understand. 


A Process Automation Delivery Team operates within our region to drive this new generation technology, called Blue Prism Software, working closely with a Global Process Automation Centre of Excellence (CoE) to maximize our capability and generate a consistent return on investment.


Job Summary:

The Process Modeler is responsible for creating automation solutions within a version controlled Process Development Lifecycle (PDLC) incorporating RACI, repeatable Task List and Templated Document Set. The ability to learn in a fast-paced environment is critical, as the role is expected to comprehend and transform existing business processes into automated solutions within short timeframes. Interacting with subject matter experts (SMEs) from all areas of the organization, the role must document solutions prior to build, creating transparency and adhering to audit controls in a highly scrutinized environment. Operation within a team environment, the Process Modeler works closely with local and international counterparts to share knowledge.  This position can be located in Canton MA, Louisville KY, or Jersey City NJ.

25% domestic travel required.

Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:


Business Engagement
Build and manage stakeholder relationships and effectively obtain information from stakeholders to form requirements. Liaise with stakeholders who are off site using tools such as teleconferencing and email, and accurately capture the information provided in a format stakeholders can understand.

  • Create Application Assessment Document(s)
  • Conduct Process “Deep Dive” Session/s
  • Create Functional Requirements Questionnaire (FRQ)
  • Create Process Definition Document (PDD)
  • Create Application Integration Assessment Document(s)
  • Conduct Walkthrough of PDD

Process Analysis and Design
Using core workflow principles, proactively identify, recommend, and develop new processes/tasks/objects that are efficient, well structured, maintainable, and easy to use/understand. Ensure documentation for more complex automation processes and procedures is well maintained.

  • Create Solution Design Document (SDD)
  • Create Operational Impact Document (OID)
  • Conduct Walkthrough of SDD and OID
  • Create Object Design Instruction (ODI)
  • Create Process Design Instruction (PDI)  

Configuration and Verification
Develop and configure process automations per low-level design and technical design documentation to meet defined requirements. Comply with and help to enforce design and coding standards, policies, and procedures. Ensure quality of coded components by performing thorough testing.

  • Create Solution Design Document (SDD)
  • Configure Objects, Processes and Components
  • Execute Code Review and Correct Defects
  • Execute Configuration Testing and Correct Defects

User Acceptance Test
Be a catalyst to change by demonstrating an understanding of existing processes and clearly depicting to subject matter experts (SMEs) that an automated solution is equal or better. Maintain the flexibility to facilitate change requirements as part of a structured change control process, further enforcing your SME relationships. 

  • Execute Verification Test Cases & Correct Defects

Deployment
Prepare the necessary documentation to handover automated solutions into business as usual (BAU) processes, enabling a stable environment through adequate forward planning. Conduct walkthroughs with relevant persons to ensure build the knowledge of others.

  • Create Implementation Planning Document (IPD) Draft
  • Conduct IPD Walkthrough with Process Owner and SME
  • Seek IPD Sign Off from Process Owner
  • Update Production Control Documents
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

Experience and Education:

Required:

  • Demonstrated experience liaising with stakeholders to elicit requirements and/or improvement opportunities using a broad range of technologies
  • Experience documenting and/or designing business processes
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously to tight deadlines
  • Experience negotiating the scope of solutions with stakeholders
  • Experience delivering solutions based on consistent processes, policies and measurements

Preferred:

  • Experience delivering solutions based on consistent processes, policies and measurements
  • Experience using graphical modelling tools such as Visio or similar to depict process flows
  • Broad understanding of applications utilized within Computershare
  • A Degree in Computing, Business, Information Systems

Travel Required:

It is expected that this position may include travel up to 25% of the time. This is subject to change based on many factors, including business needs.


Language Ability: 

Ability to read/comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one/small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. 


Mathematical Ability: 

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
