We are looking for a passionate Senior Business Analyst to join us as we set up our Global Development Department based out of Edinburgh. This is an exciting programme of work to get involved in and it’s all brand new!
Job Purpose
You will work within our Agile technology teams, responsible for a range of global technology projects.
You will understand the needs of Computershare’s business and technology stakeholders and define the changes required to deliver solutions that address these needs.
You will be working as part of a product-focused, cross-functional delivery team where you will build open and trusted relationships with your team and stakeholders. 
You will also lead and facilitate structured workshops with stakeholders and end users to identify and prioritise requirements.  By applying a broad toolkit of analysis and modelling techniques to elaborate requirements you will play a pivotal role in producing high quality communications, presentations and visualisations.
Key Accountabilities
  • Demonstrate multiple analysis techniques and facilitate workshops and other collaborative sessions to elicit requirements from key stakeholders.
  • Liaise and work with 3rd Party Vendors to understand the product capabilities and how best to utilise products to meet business needs
  • Use agile practices to stay responsive to business needs and to deliver value incrementally - find innovative ways to solve problems and to shape the delivery.
  • Write high-quality, clear User Stories and Acceptance Criteria from which the development team can estimate/size, plan and deliver changes.
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences to: share knowledge and complex ideas; provide updates; influence; challenge; and take on feedback.
  • Coordinate successful delivery of small projects, collaborating with vendor and internal users.
  • Contribute to the Analyst community - promote innovation, share knowledge of industry best practices, promote a learning culture and collaborate with a large network of stakeholders.
 
Skills & Experience
Essential Experience
 
  • Proven ability to successfully gather requirements and get results with minimal supervision.
  • Significant experience liaising with stakeholders to elicit requirements, use of system design concepts, propose solutions and translate these for other members of the development team.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to collect and analyse complex material and data, and present it in accessible formats.
  • Experience of Agile software development – working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, encouraging the adoption and continuous improvement of practices.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including international clients.
  • Experience performing a lead role on small software development projects
  • Experience working with 3rd Party products, vendors and implementation partners.
  • Collaborates and communicates well, builds great working relationships, influences others, challenges effectively and responds well to challenge from others, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.
  • Able to give advice, mentor and pass on knowledge.
  • Curious and continuous learner – investigates, interprets and grasps new concepts.
  • Self-motivated and can use own initiative to recommend innovative solutions.
