A ROLE YOU WILL LOVE

The Project Manager is a key role in the New Business Solutions Group (NBSG) at Computershare.  The NBSG is tasked with onboarding all new client shareholder records onto our proprietary systems and deconverting client shareholder records for appointments that have been terminated.  NBSG handles Transfer Agent appointments for Public and Private Companies.  NBSG also manages IPO launches, REIT Transfer Agent appointments and Corporate Action appointments.  The Project Manager plans, coordinates and implements new clients onto Computershare’s platforms by interfacing with the Client, Counsel, relationship/client servicing team and the operational units.  The Project Manager leads the project and ensures that the expectations of the client and all deliverables are met prior to transitioning to the Relationship Management Team.  The Project Manager must be knowledgeable of Computershare’s product offerings; ability to discuss best practices; and manages multiple projects at a given time.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Manage multiple client projects while regularly receiving escalated tasks from management and ability to prioritize accordingly.

  • Manage and maintain current MS Project plan and keep stakeholders informed

  • Responsible for facilitating and planning initial kickoff project meeting and regular status meetings with internal, 3rd party and client stakeholders to ensure implementation milestones are met to on-board new clients

  • Ability to work and speak professionally with all levels of customers both internal and external such as attorneys, CEO’s, CFO’s, Senior Managers, Sales Team, etc.

  • Monitors and reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders and presents report(s) defining project progress, problems and solutions to New Business Solutions Group Manager on a frequent basis.

  • Interprets and performs a thorough review of the required documents prior to commencing the New Business Solutions Group process such as legal documents, plan documents, custody agreement, board resolutions, etc.

  • Coordinates and/or performs applicable set-up activities to all Computershare peripheral systems and coordinates shareholder selling activity where required in the process.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge of Transfer Agent functions and/or strong Financial Services industry knowledge required. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Strong relationship-building Skills

  • Good listening

  • Facilitating skills in all levels of the organization

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Language Ability

Ability to follow written procedures for established processes and present information or respond to questions to/from internal partners, external partners and management.

Mathematical Ability

General math abilities are required.  Ability to conduct reconciliations is also required.
