Job Summary:

This role is responsible for the administration of the current PPM tool along with interacting and building relationships with internal stakeholders.  This role will assist with the support and execution of the capacity planning, demand management/intake process and high level resource planning for project work.


Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Develops and maintains productive working relationships with business owners, project sponsors, and management team.
  • Coordinates and manages capacity vs. demand planning including creation of high level project schedules for resource forecasting
  • Supports Manager, Project Management in the effective management of demand management/intake process
  • Manage administration, user assistance, support and training on PPM tool/processes
  • Create/distribute scheduled, ad hoc and on demand reporting
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

Skills:

Required:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Professional, high integrity, results/goal oriented
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships (internally and externally)
  • Excellent written skills
  • Ability to solve problems collaboratively
  • Effectively in analytical thinking and identify anomalies 

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of SDLC and Project Management methodologies

Education:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Experience:

Required:

  • Experience in project scheduling/demand management
  • Experience with Project Management software (PPM) such as MS Project, Planview, Clarity, or like software
  • Experience with capacity and resource planning
  • Experience coordinating, encouraging and motivating internal teams 

Preferred:

  • Experience with demand prioritization
  • Experience delivering/executing projects utilizing Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies
  • Experience working with remote teams

Travel Required:

It is expected that this position may include travel up to 5% of the time. This is subject to change based on many factors, including business needs.

Language Ability:

Ability to read/analyze/interpret business periodicals/ journals/technical procedures/gov. regulations; write reports/business correspondence/procedure manuals; effectively present information/respond to questions from managers/clients/customers/public.

Mathematical Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane, and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
