We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Specialist either on a full time basis or part time (4 full days) basis to join a highly reputable global organisation within a full-time role, with potential flexible working arrangements.

This role falls within the Product and Innovation team which provides strategic and tactical development, implementation and ongoing critical review of the product management function for the Investor Services (CIS) and Plan Managers (CPM) business lines in Australia.
The team is also responsible for establishing a product vision aligned with business line strategy through comprehensive market research, end-user engagement programs, product roadmaps, prioritisation processes and product performance evaluation.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
  • Data Analysis Monitors product key metrics and produces relevant reports that add value by assisting decision making and forecasting
  • Designs new reports and identifies opportunities for enhancing existing reports for greater commercial value
  • Supports and contributes to the ongoing development of our products and online platforms
  • Supports the product management team and business stakeholders by:

-extracting/manipulating data from multiple systems;

-producing documented analysis findings to support product initiatives

-Identifying and articulating data insights

  • Works closely with key stakeholders from Product, Marketing and Business teams
  • Considers and makes recommendations for product modification, marketing promotion and internal communications, forecasting, product positioning, and pricing strategies to ensure product profitability
  • Works as part of the new product development process to ensure effective and efficient delivery of product analysis and reporting initiatives
  • Maintains up to date detailed knowledge of the product/services suite
To succeed in this position, you will need to demonstrate:
  • Experience working in an analytical or reporting role
  • Proven Product reporting Management
  • Experience working with online applications
  • Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including developing VBA macros
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • The ability to be highly collaborative and work independently or in a group environment
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing and Technical related field preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access or another relational database system
Highly valued but not Essential:
  • Understanding and experience of the product lifecycle
  • Experience in Power BI, Tableau or similar analytics applications
