Job Summary:
Serve as overall Project Manager for each loan boarding event. Responsibilities include coordinating the activities related to the boarding of loans for multiple investors. Lead and direct all meetings related to a incoming transfer to include phone calls, email communications, internal meetings, external or joint meetings, on-site in person client or prior servicer meetings. Record, track and manage all deliverables or follow-up items for all involved parties.   
In addition this position would be responsible for:
  • Documenting and maintaining critical items throughout the boarding process.
  • Process Improvement and workflow design from lessons learned.
Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
  • Serves as Project Manager on all Loan Boarding Transfers, This includes developing schedules and timelines for each deal and the daily follow up to ensure that each project remains on track and results in a CFPB compliant transfer. This position would work closely with the Transfer Data Analyst, Loss Mitigation team, Doc Control team, Escrow Administration, QC and Special Loans and Client Relations to ensure all activities are coordinated and managed effectively and we are receiving the required key data points and supporting documents to move the boarding forward.
  • Evaluate and promote process improvements including ongoing review of all department policies and procedures including scripts and edit checks to ensure they are adequate and cover any changes in the business processes.
  • Provide robust reporting to upper management related to status of entire boarding pipeline and projected actions.  This reporting would capture key milestones and provide the health check of the transfer including a post transfer post mortem.
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

Skills:
  • Ability to work independently with minimal to no direct supervision while achieving stated objectives while also being able to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to work with various individuals at all levels up and down in every department to access and understand information/data required for analysis. 
  • Ability to become subject matter experts in Mortgage Servicing, with specific focus on the Loan Boarding processes
  • Ability to become knowledgeable on Escrow, Loss Mitigation, Loan Documentation and applicable compliance requirements and understand how transfer activities and functions affect other servicing processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for the reporting of results. 
  • Strong to Intermediate Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Visio skills.
  • Ability to research and gather information from various sources and compile and present in a clear and organized manner.
  • Ability to present publicly in a professional manner both oral and written format to all levels of employees including senior executive leadership.
  • Ability to lead project teams and influence others activity without direct authority.
 
Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years of equivalent work related experience or combination of education and work experience required.
  • Project Management experience a plus
  • Loan Transfer Experience preferred
 
Language Ability:
Ability to read/comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one/small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Mathematical Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
