Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Litigation Manager and Corporate Counsel, assist with the management of litigation and  support the company’s litigation department. Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations.

Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Provide paralegal support and assists litigation attorney in all aspects of litigation case management including but not limited to, managing discovery / subpoena responses, updates and deadlines; organize and analyze information in response to legal filings, demand letters and administrative charges; assist with the preparation and execution of declarations and affidavits.
  • Assist in maintenance of the Serengeti database, the reporting of outside counsel and litigation costs. Maintain and monitor Serengeti Tracker reports used for litigation management analysis as well as presentations to General Counsel, Executive Committees and Computershare business units.
  • Act as liaison between legal department and internal business units, affiliate companies.
  • Perform administrative department duties as requested.
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

  • Excellent comprehension, analysis, communication and writing skills required.  
  • Must have a strong command of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team setting.
  • Understand systems and quality principles.
  • Ability to perform  comfortably in a fast pace, deadline-oriented work environment.


Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensed paralegal certificate desired.



  • Working with outside counsel and managing the discovery process in mortgage servicing litigation.
  • Working directly or indirectly with operations / customer service teams.


  • Mortgage servicing and / or mortgage origination.
  • Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker matter management platform (formerly known as Serengeti Tracker).

Language Ability:

Ability to read/analyze/interpret business periodicals/ journals/technical procedures/gov. regulations; write reports/business correspondence/procedure manuals; effectively present information/respond to questions from managers/clients/customers/public.

Mathematical Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
