About the role:
The Project Management Office within our Technology Services division is seeking a Junior Project Manager to contribute to the planning and execution of projects across seven functions. These projects are primarily technology focused and include Cloud migration, server technologies, network technologies, software distribution, enterprise systems monitoring and data centre facilities.
The successful Project Manager will have a blend of some project coordination/ management experience, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and, ideally, some exposure to modern technology. Your eagerness to learn and a can-do attitude will be key to your success.
Key responsibilities:
  • Demand planning, coordination and project control
  • Coordinating services and resources to meet project requirements
  • Tracking end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring standard practices, processes and technology are used and projects are kept within scope, time and budget
  • Assisting with change management including the evaluation of scope and scale of anticipated changes
  • Contributing to continual service improvement initiatives within the PMO
  • Assisting with process and financial reporting
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Some prior Project Management or Coordination experience, either business or technical projects
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Superior communication
  • Willingness to learn and ability to adapt
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced capability with Microsoft Office suite
Desired experience:
  • Formal Project Management certification and/or understanding of PM principles
  • A high-level understanding of IT, specifically Cloud, Server and Network technologies
  • Computing or Information Technology tertiary qualifications
