The Human Resources (HR) team within Computershare serves as a support to our most valuable resource: people. The national team works in partnership with leaders across Australia, to provide professional knowledge, advice and support on people management issues across all business units. 

About the role

Based across our Computershare Ermington and Carrington Street locations, we have an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join our HR Business Partnering team.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, the HR Advisor will provide first level HR advice and support to the business in relation to process and tools for HR related activities. This role will work closely with the HR Business Partners, assisting them in supporting business leaders and working on HR lead projects and initiatives.


This role is a great opportunity for an experienced HR coordinator who is passionate about working with people and has demonstrated exposure to all elements of HR including work health and safety and employment law and awards.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Providing first level HR support to team leaders, managers and employees for all offices in Australia on HR related issues such as performance management, employment conditions and entitlements
  • Working with the HR Business Partners, management, employees and external stakeholders for Workers Compensation & managing some occupational rehabilitation management from end to end
  • Working with the HR Business Partners to promote new ways of working and agree appropriate local-level interventions to maximise opportunities, support change and manage risk.
  • Working with the boarder HR team to continuously improve HR procedures, benefit offerings and tools

To be successful for this role, you must have the following:

  • Experience in a HR Administrator/Coordinator role
  • Exposure to a broad range of HR functions including performance management, remuneration, award and legislation interpretation, workers compensation, rehabilitation management and change management.
  • The ability to develop and maintain excellent working partnerships.
  • Strong initiative with the ability to work autonomously

Desirable skills/experiences

  • Relevant Australian Government recognised tertiary qualification
  • Knowledge of HR interfaces including PeopleSoft and Success Factors
  • Return to work qualifications
