Job Summary:

Lead a team of 20 marketing professionals on the development and implementations of strategic marketing plans for each market segment and business line. Blend traditional methods with progressive, digital approaches go maximize brand awareness, lead generation, client acquisition and retention.

Elevate the role of marketing internally as a strategic advisor and execution partner to achieve the objectives of the business line leaders, relationship managers and the sales organization.

Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Introduce thought leadership along with new and creative approaches within the marketing programs. Keep abreast with the latest marketing tools and techniques and promote a culture of experimentation. Focus areas include content development, inbound and outbound marketing and channel optimization across advertising, events, social media and web. Develop a clear SEO strategy to grow audience and conversions.
  • Lead the strategy and development of a comprehensive market research program that generates a deep understanding of the market definition, buyer profiles and value proposition of all market segments and service offerings. Research includes competitive analysis and CPU unique positioning.
  • Oversee the development of 8-10 discrete quarterly marketing plans and budget; provide leadership to ensure that the staff of Marketing Directors are collaborating effectively (both ways) with peers across the Marketing organization and with key contacts from the business lines, Sales, Relationship Management and Product.
  • Develop, track and deliver measurable marketing success metrics and targets. Ensure that all relevant metrics are captured and continually updated in our CRM application.
  • Ensure all programs, content and creative designs are consistent with brand strategy and guidelines.
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four –year college or university; and 8 to 10 years related experience in the B2B services arena, ideally with 3 years of staff management of related responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in developing and successfully executing a significant organizational change management program to elevate the role of Marketing and its adoption of contemporary techniques is strongly preferred.
  • Familiar with resell / distribution partner model along with all elements of partner sales and partner account management: partner on-boarding, orientation of deal, sales process and closing.
  • Hands-on knowledge of marketing automation platforms like HubSpot, Marketo, Eloqua, and Pardot strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in radically transforming marketing strategy.
  • Proven success with go to market strategy, restructure, consolidating  and merging marketing and sales functions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises 20 employees in the Marketing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Travel Required:

It is expected that this position may include travel up to 25% of the time. This is subject6 to change based on many factors, including business needs.


Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.  Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.  Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardizations exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
