 A ROLE YOU WILL LOVE

The Global Head of Business Resiliency will provide second line of defence oversight and leadership over all Computershare’s global Business Resiliency, Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery planning and management. 

You will be required to lead the Global Business Resiliency Program and provide a clear and consistent leadership of the Global Business Resiliency Program to ensure consistent application of BCM policies and standards globally across all Businesses and Regions.  You will be required to partner with the leadership within Computershare Technical Services to ensure oversight over Technology Resiliency.

 Primary Accountabilities

  • Experience of Operating at Senior and Executive Level.

  • Experience of GRC toolsets as used in BCP/DR.

  • Experience in a global organization

  • Senior Risk Management Experience.

  • BCP and Business Resiliency Management.

  • Knowledge of Financial Markets & Operational Risk understanding in those markets.

  • Risk Concepts and Processes – Risk, Management, Issue Management , Risk and Control Self-Assessment, Change Risk.

  • Understanding of Key Risk Indicators and experience of Risk Appetite.

  • Understanding of industry best practice ad standards.

  • People Management and Leadership.

  • Understanding of the Three Lines of Defense.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Essential experience:

  • 10-15 years’ experience across all risk types.  At least 5 years in a senior role covering Business Resiliency and BCP/DR.

  • Previous experience of driving global business resiliency.

  • Experience of both building a business resilience function (transformation) and embedding the operation (Business as usual).

Desired experience:

  •  Experience having lead a Resiliency or BCP/DR Program.

Travel Required:  50% 

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manages a leadership team and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.

  •  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Management team’s responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Language Ability

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.  Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.  Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Ability

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as percentages and ratios and apply mathematical concepts in activities such as budgeting.
