About the role:

We are seeking a Developer with programming experience in Perl/C/C#/.Net to join our Technology team in Computershare’s Communication Services business; a global provider of integrated communications solutions.   


Reporting to the Development Team Lead and working in a cross functional team, you will develop, change and maintain code that converts business requirements into client communications via multi-channels.


You will answer client queries, provide accurate development effort estimations and perform peer reviews of team member’s code as part of our quality checking process.


This is a fast paced and deadline driven environment to complete a high volume of scheduled BAU work.  This role will appeal to individuals that are dynamic and adaptable.  Some flexibility may be required to support an out of hours roster during peak times. 


Key responsibilities:

  • Develop new code to translate business requirements into client solutions
  • Amend existing code to cater for new requirements
  • Investigate quality issues, root cause analysis and remediation tasks
  • Perform peer code reviews to ensure a high level of quality is delivered
  • Deliver to tight timeframes in a fast paced environment
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Programming experience in Perl, C, C# and/or .Net
  • High level of logical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong customer focus
  • To handle pressure and changing priorities
Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in the outbound communication industry, specifically digital transformation
  • Knowledge of DevOps processes and methodology
  • Experience operating in cross-functional teams
  • Tertiary qualification in Computing, Business, Information Systems or equivalent
