Debt Recoveries Consultant – Mortgage Servicing
Skipton or Crossflatts – upto £19,000
Here at Computershare Loan Services we are recruiting for experienced Recoveries Consultants to join our Shortfall Debt Recovery Team to be based out of one of our Yorkshire offices at either Crossflatts or Skipton.
As an organisation we’re a market leader in Mortgage Servicing, not just in the UK but also the US. We deal with varied and complex mortgage books which in turn means we are required to recover outstanding debt/ arrears.
So what is the role?
This role will you see work with our customers who have mortgage shortfall debt and other losses, where you will then be responsible for identifying the best way in which their debt can be settled.
There are many key accountabilities to the role of which are defined in a full role profile, however we have pulled out what we feel are some of the key elements:
Essential to the role is your ability to analyse and interpret customer information using Credit Bureau tools & other external data sources. This will allow you to test information that has been provided and where appropriate recognise the best solution for our customers.
Once the above process has been completed you will then ensure agreed arrangement plans remain the best solution for the customer in order to resolve their debt.
Within the wider team you will be required to work closely with your peers to seek support and advice around individual customer cases, and ascertain which cases need further investigation. Through this process we like to see you use your own initiative and look for continuous improvement in the way we do things.

You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of working within a similar role or environment, equally we are open to applications from individuals from a sales background who are looking for a new opportunity in different industry/ role.
Key skills and knowledge required:
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers but also engage with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Adaptable to change not just within the requirements of your role but organisational change.
  • Able to build resilience quickly as you work with some times complex and challenging cases.
  • Technical skills required include working knowledge of Microsoft applications and any understanding of MCOB/CONC/Statute Barred regulations

Please note that this role would see you work on a fully flexible and you would be expected to work 35 hours per week between the hours of 8.00am-8.00pm, including Saturday.
