Job Summary
Responsible for the design, development, testing, and supporting of business intelligence, analysis and reporting solutions. This team member will be responsible for data modeling and reporting. Designs and develops reporting solutions in a Microsoft tools environment and will be responsible for adhering to current CMS reporting procedures and techniques. In support of these responsibilities the candidate will meet with business users and management to create requirement documents and solutions for reporting needs.
Position Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Create and deliver standard and unique reporting solutions to support both business and client needs.
  • Create and deliver management dashboards and canned reports to support routine management oversight of business processes to ensure critical insight into exceptions and deliverables.
  • Create and deliver routine and ad hoc reporting needed to understand various aspects of processes of performance, staffing needs, etc.  Identify, lead, and oversee projects and analysis related to reporting needs to establish superior operational reporting within CMS. 
  • Administration, support, maintenance and/or build of Access Databases (or similar) to support operational and client needs.
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Ability and willingness to learn valuations and similar mortgage related systems use from a user’s perspective.
  • Strong ability to communicate with business users and management at all levels for development and delivery of reporting requirements.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Proficient knowledge of personal computers using Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Visio with advanced skills required in Excel, SQL, and BI tools- Access is a plus. Ability to learn and operate all in-house computer systems and a variety of vendor software applications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, peers, and all levels of management through written and verbal communication.
  • Strong time management skills are essential.
  • Experience with other Microsoft languages and technologies, such as SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated experience with SQL Server Databases and SQL Server Reporting Services preferred.
  • Experience with Visual Basic and Macro programming within Excel is a plus.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Financial or Data Analysis and Reporting and/or 2 years of demonstrated experience with SQL Databases, BI tools, high degree of excel skills, Access database experience a plus
  • Knowledge of industry standard reporting and programming practices a plus.
  • Knowledge of operational procedures and compliance requirements relating to the areas of Loan Servicing, Administration, or Valuation preferred.
  • Previous experience with mortgage industry systems preferred.
Travel Ability
It is expected that this position may include travel up to 10% of the time. This is subject to change based on many factors, including business needs.
Language Ability
Ability to read/analyze/interpret business periodicals/ journals/technical procedures/gov. regulations; write reports/business correspondence/procedure manuals; effectively present information/respond to questions from managers/clients/customers/public.
Mathematical Ability
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
