Job Summary:

The RSS Consultant provides support to the Restructuring department. While not permanently staffed on cases, RSS Consultants play a valuable role by maintaining case dockets, reviewing proofs of claim, responding to creditor inquiries, and providing assistance with special projects.  RSS Consultants identify and enter actionable pleadings and perform administrative quality control of various tasks.


Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Manage case dockets and update KCC public access websites as documents are filed with the Court
  • Respond to creditor inquiries regarding case status, claim status deadlines, solicitation and voting procedures and disbursements
  • Manage and log case voicemail messages
  • Identify and enter actionable pleadings e.g. administrative proofs of claim, notices of transfer, stipulations, objections, settlement agreements, withdrawals of claim, etc…
  • Coordinate, input, and review ballots, changes of address and proofs of claim
  • Weekly audit of affidavits of service
  • Administrative quality control review of proofs of claim including creditor and notice party addresses
  • Prepare claim and solicitation binders for submission to the Court
  • Assist with mailings including compilation of service lists and preparing of affidavits of service
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

BA from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent experience.


Language Ability:

Ability to read/comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one/small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

Mathematical Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
