Description of Business Area


CTS Global Planning and Delivery (GP&D) EMEA provides end to end delivery (Architecture, Project Management and Implementation) of systems and networks that Computershare’s products and services use both Regionally and Globally. We currently have approximately 30 IT staff in the GP&D Group located across the Bristol and Skipton sites. The team supports 4500 users based throughout 28 office locations.

CTS Globally have approximately 1000 employees, with approximately half of them in Oceania and the other half split between the Americas and EMEA regions.



Main Purpose of the Role


This role is responsible for the planning and delivery aspects of Citrix End User Computing which includes both physical and virtual endpoints, enabling the productivity of our ever-increasing mobile workforce globally.

The successful applicant will become the SME in Citrix technologies, and work together with the architecture team to help define and deliver the global strategy for EUC across Computershare. This a great opportunity for an experienced Citrix engineer looking to progress within their field and work at a Solutions Architect level.



Essential Skills, Experience and Competencies


•         Experience of Application Virtualisation with Citrix XenApp and Microsoft App-V

•         Experience of Desktop Virtualisation with Citrix XenDesktop including App Layering and WEM

•         A good understanding of modern hypervisors, such as Hyper-V, VMware, XenServer or AHV

•         Able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the latest Citrix technologies and innovations

•         Experience of Microsoft Exchange and Lync/S4B architecture within an enterprise global deployment

•         Experience of Active Directory design and management including Group Policy knowledge

•         Ability to manage complex activities simultaneously to short timescales & demonstrate continuous improvement

•         Enterprise infrastructure management tools experience e.g. SCCM, SCOM, DSC

•         Identifies with multiple technologies and understands company’s current business strategy. Makes recommendations that drive innovation, and solutions that influence company strategic direction.

•         Ability to communicate with business partners and stakeholder up to executive level

•         Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with Citrix Technologies (v7.12 including XenDesktop/XenApp)

 


Desirable Skills, Experience and Competencies


•         Technical IT qualification(s) appropriate to specialist role

•         Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or engineering

•         Hands-on administrative/maintenance experience in a multi-site, large install base supporting multiple endpoint types

•         Proven track record of working in a support environment and the ability to interact between business representatives and Senior IT staff to plan for and resolve complex technology-based problems.

•         Scripting knowledge such as PowerShell or VBS

•         Experience of Microsoft Azure cloud services, particularly around Desktop and DR as a Service


Qualifications


  • Microsoft certification is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • VCP (VMware Certified Professional) is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework is desirable
  • Knowledge of TOGAF framework is desirable
