Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, positive and dynamic Team Leader to join our fantastic management team within Computershare Business Services (CBS). CBS consists of The Deposit Protection Service and Childcare Voucher Services. 

The DPS operates a free to use custodial scheme for Landlords and Letting Agents to protect their Tenants’ deposits. 2017 marks ten years since Computershare was awarded the first contract by Government to run an approved Tenancy Deposit Protection (TDP) scheme, and over 1.2 billion pounds' worth of deposits are now protected within the scheme. Computershare now also runs The Letting Protection Service Scotland (LPSS), The Letting Protection Service Northern Ireland (LPSNI) and The Deposit Protection Service Insured (DPSI) schemes.

CVS are the UK’s largest childcare voucher provider, with over 18 years of experience in the industry and over 14,000 organisations using our scheme. Childcare vouchers are a government approved, tax efficient way of paying for childcare, allowing the exchange of up to £243 per month of an employee’s gross salary for use towards approved childcare.


Main Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be required to play an integral part in the successful running of the Operations Funding Team for both CVS and DPS.

This will include taking on full responsibility for the delivery of excellent customer service whilst achieving service levels, as well as management and development of your team members.  


Person Specification

We are looking for someone who is has a financial background, is customer service focused, and who is constantly looking to improve processes and procedures, whilst balancing business needs and requirements.

The successful candidate should have an understanding of money movements, ledgers, credit control, along with strong leadership experience in order to manage a multi-skilled high volume Team.

You will be able to prioritise workloads, have meticulous attention to detail and be able to prioritise a number of work streams.

You should be able to identify trends and areas for improvement in both process and people, and seek to drive through change where necessary.


Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the day to day running of the funding team, ensuring deadline cut off times are achieved daily.
  • Development and motivation of colleagues in line with the CBS Employee Charter
  • Being a point of contact for the team and other areas of the business when queries arise.  This will include the authorising of payments and money movements
  • Producing daily/monthly figures for CBS Operational Management.
  • Be involved in the planning of daily work-streams to ensure customer experience is kept high and all service levels are obtained.
  • Deal with escalated queries, seeking to resolve these quickly and with the best resolution possible for all parties
  • Actively manage, develop and coach all team members, resolving performance issues promptly and provide motivation that encourages all team members to deliver to their full potential.
  • Work as part of the DPS Operations management team delivering updates and stats on a daily basis.
  • Supporting other areas of CBS when necessary
