Job Description

The Business Improvement Group (BIG) supports Operations and the wider Computershare business by implementing and supporting operational systems and processes which drive service excellence.  
The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for the analysis and implementation of multiple concurrent changes to operational processes and systems that originate from continuous improvement analysis, customer feedback/requirements, government regulation, risk/audit findings or other sources. 
BAs must be familiar with a variety of business policies and procedures and rely on extensive experience and judgment to design and implement effective changes which address the true business need.  BAs must collaborate with business stakeholders, regional counterparts, project managers and development teams to achieve results.  BAs must perform a variety of tasks directly which may include (among other tasks) identifying, analyzing and improving business processes, research and data mining, documenting business requirements for development, user acceptance testing, deploying and reconfiguring business applications, interpreting government regulations, and developing and facilitating training programs. 
A wide degree of creativity along with superb analysis skills is required. Ability to work with minimal supervision is key, as well as the ability and desire to learn very quickly.
Major Responsibilities
  • Participate in ongoing application support via BSG Support requests and/or development logs for supported systems (Contact, DSS, EDC, IVR, Proxy, SCRIP, Workflow, etc.)
  • Participate in supported systems upgrades/releases through requirement gathering, documentation, User Acceptance Testing, training, communications and release to the business.
  • Assist with special projects (in support of Project Managers on the BIG team) and/or ad hoc requests in the capacity of Business Analysts or Subject Matter Expert in support of the business.
  • Proactively identify, analyze and improve upon business processes within the BIG team and the business as a whole. 
Education & Experience
  • Professional business analyst designation (eg. CBAP, LSS Belt) beneficial but not required.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience, preferably with exposure to operational processes and technology.
  • Prior experience in a Business Analyst capacity or exposure to business analysis methodology also required.
  • The role may sometimes require extended or unusual working hours.  Domestic and international travel for a period of days or weeks may also be required. Occasional work from home is a possibility.
