A ROLE YOU WILL LOVE

Plans and directs client billing activities within the Finance department. This position Supervises and directs business line work teams to ensure that our clients are billed accurately. Work with different areas of the company (Contract Admin, IT, Regulatory, Internal Audit, Tax, and others) to identify and address potential issues that could threaten Billing accuracy and timeliness.  Directs Billing support activities by performing the following duties.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Supervises billing staff in the US and off-shore to ensure they are meeting core responsibilities and deadlines .

  • Ensures that billing assignments are appropriately weighted and balanced.

  • Identifies areas for additional training to ensure staff is performing at a consistent level across the group.

  • Ensures that team members follow established workflow process, including necessary reviews and approvals.

  • Monitors unbilled charges; ensures timely billing and delivery of invoices to the clients.

  • Provides assistance to team members with issues that are escalated to him/her.

  • Develop and provide regular monthly metrics on Billing to Senior Finance Management DS, Billing accuracy.

  • Work on billing integrations and billing system enhancements as needed.

  • Support deliverables to internal and external auditors.

  • Work closely to support goals and ideals of Group Billing Manager.

  • Manage the month-end close process for billing.

Education and Experience

 Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and  four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 2-8 employees in the Billing Department in the US plus working closely with an off-shore Team Leader.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
