About the Role
The Georgeson team is searching for a talented and motivated Account Manager to join our dynamic London-based advisory business.
The role is to ensure that all aspects of client relationships are carried out in an effective, efficient and cost effective manner. To ensure all client targets are met and that problems are solved in an efficient manner. To build relationships within our clients with a view to ensure the Georgeson brand is built and recognised.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
  1. Plan and manage client accounts;
  2. Maintain and develop existing client base through exceptional service. This will help to optimise quality of service, business growth and client satisfaction;
  3. Attend and present at external client meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties;
  4. Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of a profitable business and sustainable relationships;
  5. Ensure methods used during a transaction are streamlined to ensure effective, efficient and cost effective completion of a transaction;
  6. Ensure that Phoebe (internal database) is used and updated with relevant information;
  7. Ensure to instil a consultative and proactive approach to each client;
  8. In specific markets ensure that the proxy knowledge process is known fully;
  9. Ensure that each third party is researched in country specific markets to obtain a full understanding of each market participant;
  10. Ensure client reporting is accurate and systematic;
  11. Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
  12. Ensure financial targets are met within the fiscal year
  13. Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients via meetings, telephone calls and emails;
  14. Visit clients
  15. Gather market information;
  16. Represent Georgeson at events;
  17. Advise on forthcoming product developments
  18. Contact investors to ascertain a certain stance on a particular corporate action
  19. Gain a clear understanding of potential and existing clients businesses and requirements;
